We hope you find the following information helpful. We look forward to speaking with you.

Dental implants are an excellent option to replace missing teeth. Dental Implants are like small screws or cylinders made of titanium in the bone. The dental implant procedure is usually a 4- step process. Sometimes an additional bone augmentation or sinus graft procedure may be required.

Step 1: The surgical placement of the implant in the bone followed by covering the implant with gum tissue. The implant stays undisturbed in the gums for about 4-6 months ( time may vary from patient to patient).

Step 2: The implant is uncovered by the specialist and an abutment is placed so that a replacement tooth ( implant crown) can be attached.

Step 3: An impression is taken of the abutment to fabricate the implant crown to the desired shape/size/ color by Dr. Gutti.

Step 4: The fabricated crown is cemented to achieve the required esthetics and function at our Comfort Plus Family Detntal.

Dr. Gutti makes sure that you get the best treatment not only at our office but also from the specialists that we may recommend. She communicates with the specialists throughout the procedure to check on your progress and that you are taken care of. She works very closely with the lab to get you the right fitting crown with the shade that you desire.

How much does it cost?

The next best thing to your own natural tooth is an implant crown as it lasts longer. The cost of the implant placement itself varies widely depending on the number of procedures/appointments you might need by your surgeon. However the cost of the dental implant crown itself is similar to the cost of any other crown.

Should I have any concerns about dental implant crowns?

Like with any other dental treatment, you have to take care of your investment. Make sure you brush and floss regularly and keep up with your dental cleaning appointments. If you fail to remove all the plaque from around the dental implant with proper and brushing techniques, then we may notice some bone loss around your implant that jeopardizes the integrity of the implant in the bone.

How long does it take me to recover after dental implant crown?

There is no recovery period. Yes. You heard it right. As soon as the implant crown is on, you can start showing off your beautiful smile or chomp down on some long awaited yummy food.

Dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, several missing teeth or all of your missing teeth. Dr. Gutti and you can decide which is the best treatment for you. Dental implants are just like your teeth and hence they need to be taken care of like you would do to your own teeth. You will need to keep your implants clean and plaque-free by brushing and flossing regularly. Regular dental check ups will ensure that your dental implants, teeth and gums remain healthy.
