What is a dental teeth cleaning?

A prophy is a non-therapeutic procedure that is commonly referred to as a dental cleaning. If you have a healthy mouth and do not have periodontal disease, this is the dental service that you receive from your dentist or dental hygienist every six months. This procedure is designed to maintain the health of your mouth and give Dr. Gutti an opportunity to check for decay and disease in your mouth. Patients who practice good oral hygiene habits by brushing and flossing regularly do not experience any discomfort during this appointment.
Our office is equipped with the latest, 100% digital dental equipment, what it means to you – early detection, and comprehensive oral exam. You can’t treat what you can’t see!
